Every once in a while I decide to be a fun mom. Then I get called away from the scene by something and by the time I get back to supervising fun has outlived its welcome and then fun mom isn't invited back for a while.
Anyway we painted, please note I prepared by covering the entire easel with a cloth. And by painting outside in a swimming suit. So maybe I'm learning.. Slowly.
When I returned from changing a diaper the paper was beautiful and discarded as useless on the ground, the bikes were beautiful, the girl was beautiful, and luckily for my plants only part of the pots were beautiful. Also the paint was gone so the grill and windows lucked out and stayed boring and normal. I didn't even feel upset, rather impressed at her speed and the fact that finger paint doesn't bother her like it does me (ew). It also presented the perfect opportunity to clean the patio (which she loves because it involves buckets of water, paintbrushes, and sometimes even friends outside in the heat).
I really really want to just let her loose on an entire room one day because she just loves creative arts with such abandon.

Oh the fun of having a creative child!
Good for you at not being frustrated! She is super cute, which helps!
