One way that Satan stops families: NO MATERNITY INSURANCE! Not a SINGLE health care provider covers maternity. NOT A SINGLE ONE! Seriously. I've called several, and before I give them any info, I say, "All I need is maternity," and they all say, without fail, "
Oooohhhh. Sorry. We don't offer that in Colorado. Actually, no one does." Great. Guess Lianna and I won't be having kids soon.

I know JD. The only way you get coverage for maternity is to get it through your employer and I hear Kaiser offers it but I don't know if they're located in Colorado.
What? Seriously? I didn't even ask when Jason changed jobs if our new insurance does...I thought they all did...guess I should check!
Sad day! It's so messy- insurance and kids! I hate it! And even if you do have insurance (like we do) we still have to pay for things all the time!
did seeing baby jae make you want to make babies??!!!!
btw, that really sucks. you qualify for medicaid? not w/ lianna's 100 jobs i bet.
That is just nutz. I never even thought about that. I think Stephanie's right though, and you should be able to get it through an employer. Good luck with everything, I so hate dealing with insurances. I gotta figure out all our stuff this week and I'm so not looking forward to it.
oh well, i guess you'll just have to move back to hawaii....
Thanks for this post...it got me checking more into our insurance and we found out some important stuff. Also, talk to people in your ward. I know people are having kids in CO...ask them what they're doing for insurance.
