Another cute sister moment

This one is for me to look back on when they are fighting in a couple years.

They just love each other right now! I know it will likely change a little bit soon, so I'm going to treasure each one of these moments. And the ones where I pretend to make Claire sing Korrali a song goodnight and Korrali totally buys into it. And when Korrali runs around singing "I love Mommy,  I love Claire, I love Daddy".
Those moments, pinned to my Heart's wall and duly tagged "save for ever".

She's a doll

Yep, confirmed. She literally looks like a doll. I always wondered why dolls looked like that, since most babies I know look more like their parents than like the weird plastic beings at the store. Karma tells me I shouldn't be so judgmental of toy companies.

Masha and Michka

We have recently discovered a show about a menace named masha and the very patient bear she torments/befriends. Its hilarious. Even to me. Korrali loves it and I like it, in part because the episodes are about 7 minutes long so she can feel like she is bingewatching and I know it's only been 30 minutes or so.

That's my jam

I love freezer jam, and Korrali loves mashing things, so we bought a billion strawberries for 8$ and she mashed while I cut and washed and prepped. Then she ate sugar while she stirred the pectin mixture. It was so much fun that we did it again with what sounded to J like a million kids (but was in fact only 5).
Mmm there is nothing better than a free license to eat however much fruit you want because Cooks Privilege and Canning Something. Except maybe clothes shopping without kids. And the beach.

Certified

I am certified many things, but am now officially re-certified cpr and first aid. It makes me feel much safer. And also I can upgrade my massage certification to board certification which is a fancy way of saying I paid a bunch of money and took a lot of school to be awesome at massage therapy.

Painting

Every once in a while I decide to be a fun mom. Then I get called away from the scene by something and by the time I get back to supervising fun has outlived its welcome and then fun mom isn't invited back for a while.
Anyway we painted, please note I prepared by covering the entire easel with a cloth. And by painting outside in a swimming suit. So maybe I'm learning.. Slowly.
When I returned from changing a diaper the paper was beautiful and discarded as useless on the ground, the bikes were beautiful,  the girl was beautiful, and luckily for my plants only part of the pots were beautiful. Also the paint was gone so the grill and windows lucked out and stayed boring and normal. I didn't even feel upset, rather impressed at her speed and the fact that finger paint doesn't bother her like it does me (ew). It also presented the perfect opportunity to clean the patio (which she loves because it involves buckets of water, paintbrushes, and sometimes even friends outside in the heat).
I really really want to just let her loose on an entire room one day because she just loves creative arts with such abandon.

Toys

I was holding Claire when I heard smacking and looked down to see she was happily going to town on this loop she worked free from her gym. It's a hands-free device apparently. Perfect for driving, keeping her hands securely on the mama-mobile. I love my law abiding, stealthy toy muncher.
