Crepe? Oui, Sil vous ple

Today the master chef was born - J finally conquered the crepe. He created delicious breakfast pastries, and dessert pastries full of yummy goodness thanks to the beautiful cook book given to us by Grandma and Grandpa Quillen.
I highly recommend it to those who enjoy luscious pictures and first rate easy-to-make dessert recipes.

Dreams are AWESOME

I had another strange dream, and if I'm any type of prophet, Jack Black is as good as dead. See, in my dream, I was at my sister Katie's house. They had a large air strip in their back yard. Apparently her daughter, Ali, would escape often and go wondering around. So as a result, Katie and Jason had a whole emergency system that could be implemented at a moment's notice to find her. So I'm chilling at her house, and we notice Ali isn't around. So we sound the siren, and begin the search around the house. I look out the window, and see Ali. I also see Jack Black holding Ali's hand, bringing her back home while walking along the air strip. Well, part of this emergency plan was to have a small Cessna plane fly around. So the plane was just in the midst of taking off as Jack and Ali were walking down the strip. Well, the plane didn't see the two, and the wing of the plane beheaded Jack Black. Bad luck for Jack Black, imo (imo stands for in my opinion). But we were all glad to have Ali back.

And lastly, the dream that I references awhile ago. So I was on a special BYU police force, and I got sent to intercept this pilgrimage of beautiful young women in a volcano cult. They were trying to get up into a volcanic mountain. We got there right as they were about to go up into the mountain, and we stopped them from going up. We were to detain them until we could get more help. As we were waiting, these beautiful women kept trying to get us to go up with them, promising us salvation. It was tempting! The trail looked mysterious with a faint red glow at the end where the trail went out of sight... It was really tempting to see what they were talking about. In real life, I have a co-worker named Zack. He was in my dream, and was with me on the BYU police force. He actually broke down and listened to the women and went up to into the mountain with 2 of them. I remember thinking that he was probably going to get sacrificed and thrown into the volcano. So, as we were waiting, these midgets showed up. The were dressed as small bushes, and when they stood still, they became invisible. They also were holding small, Roman broadswords. The midgets surrounded us, menacing us with their broadswords. Then, their master, the high priest of the volcano cult came. He was made of parchment paper with old language written on it. His shape was that of a gingerbread man. He too, would disappear if he stood still. So, all these midgets surrounded us with their swords. All of a sudden, out of a hedge rushed a line of full-geared Navy SEALS. A fight ensued with the midgets poking everyone with their swords. Then the SEALS got the situation under control and I woke up. The end.

Apocolypse..... At Church!

So, my family had a brush with death, at church. These photos were taken at church. Our cars suffered lots o' hail damage, as you could imagine. Primary kids were crying, adults were running around, ushering people into the gym, others were praying.... total pandemonium.... and my wife runs outside to go take pictures of her first tornado. (These pictures were actually taken by my dad, since Verizon's network sucks for sending pictures and we can't get them off her phone.)

Wallet is FOUND!

So guess what? On Saturday night, I found my wallet... Yup, I found it! Four times actually. Then I woke up and realized that it was just a dream. Oh well such is life.

So Saturday, I'll let you all know that I was pretty stressed out about losing my wallet, partly because I figured that I just placed it somewhere odd. Then I'd find it, out in the open, plain and simple. I kept praying and had a good feeling about it. So I figured, "What the heck, why am I not finding it."

After I had come to the conclusion that I would not find my wallet, and that it was most likely lost at the movie theater, I prayed. and an interesting and funny thought came into my head:

"Well, at least you didn't lose your soul. Aren't you glad you don't need an ID to get into Heaven."

I think Heavenly Father has a great sense of humor. If you look at your problems in life with an eternal perspective, they always just seem so trivial and funny. With that I pretty much knew that it was gone, and there's no sense in crying over spilled milk. So I got over it, made plans to replace everything, and got on with my life. Such is life.

If you were a wallet, where would you hide?

Ah, it is beautiful here ... warm, or hot, and sometimes rainy. yay! My sister may come to visit this week, or the 2nd week in June.. and my mom. =D That would be fun. I'm slowly learning to drive a stick.. (our new car is a stick). And J has lost his wallet. This makes the car situation an interesting one, seeing as how I can't drive our car; it's made our car pretty much useless unless in use by others for the past couple of days. So this experience of searching for his wallet begs the question, if YOU were a wallet, where would YOU hide? and Are wallets like gnomes - do they travel the world and take pictures of themselves? or Are they more like socks, they just disappear into the Void? I'd like to think they're like gnomes, myself. And that we'll get a picture in the mail of his wallet in front of the Eiffel Tower next week - with all the money, credit cards, and his license still inside.

In other news, i'm about to start my VERY LAST semester of Massage School yay! Just 2 more months and then I'll be making some money, and we can be independent. huzzah!

Show me the Car Fox!

Yes, that is correct, we have ferretted out the car for us. Thanks to the sleuthing abilities of J + Creig's List. Friday we drove all over Colorado looking at various Honda Civics; then, at the end of the day, just as we were settling for a car that needed a new muffler, Dad Quillen told us there was a guy in the next neighborhood over who was selling his Honda Accord at his garage sale- a car very similar to our old car in Hawaii - for 2000. We checked it out, test drove it, and purchased it. Thank goodness for Dad and garage sale-ing! We get the car Tuesday, and in between now and then we'll take a look at the car's history - the car facts.
