My brother Peter and my sister(in law) and their adorable children visited her family at the end of summer. Her family did 4H growing up, and they came mainly to support her little sister showing their family goats! I don't have photos of that, because I was watching children so they could watch her, but she did great! She was grand champion in Dairy and even got to participate in what they call "Round Robin" where the best of the show folk get to take turns showing the winning animals and a grand champion is chosen! Korrali and her adorable cousin got to pretend to show goats as well, Korrali was so excited for it all week long. It was such a cool adventure! Many, many thanks to my sister-in-laws family who helped us be a part of it!

They lead the goats around the circle, then out again. If there hadn't been so many people they probably would have asked them some cute questions like "what animal is that? Do you like goats?"
Then, they each got a ribbon! She was very proud.

We had to wait to begin because a lot of people who wanted to participate were watching a different event. The girls ate snacks and played on the bleachers.

We waited a long time. Korrali made friends and built a sand cake/fort/castle... thing..
After the show we hit up the tiny carnival. They had a dragon that did lqaoops, a Ferris Wheel, and these 2 little kid rides. We stuck to the 2 little ones since I had Claire, but Korrali still mentions the carnival like this: "Look! A Wheel mom! I've never been on one .I wanted to go on one at the Goat Fair but you didn't let me."

They had animal barns for show animals and Korrali got to pet some of them, we saw all kinds of beautiful animals and just had a really fun time. It was so worth it that it has almost convinced me that one day when we settle down we may do 4H ourselves. Or maybe not. It was a lot of work just to show up.

Kid and animals are a winning combo...similar activity and unpredictability levels?
How fun that you got to be with them for this!
