Our life for the past month

This is a warning.  If you do not like long blog posts full of pictures, fun, wisdom, and knowledge, please stop reading.  A lot has happened, and therefore a lot shall be shared.  First, Lianna and I carved a pumpkin on Halloween... literally on the day of.   We were quite busy this month.  We had had also bought a plentiful supply of candy in hopes for the cute trick-or-treaters that would surely come our way.  We had one (1).  =(  So he came in a spiderman costume.  Out of habit, I said, "Take just two."  Then I realized we weren't going to have many others, so I told him, "actually, you can take four (4)."  Then I corrected myself yet again by saying, "You know  what, take as many as you like!"  He still only took three (3).  So here is our pumpkin carving fun!

We also watched a friend's dog for a couple of days while they went up to the mountains.  His name is Endo and he is a very well behaved dog... except for the first day when we let them outside to get some energy... they froliced all the way into the swamp pond next to our condo, and Endo came out almost as black as Teo... Do you have any idea what its like to try to bathe an 80 lbs dog you don't know.  Ya, crazy.

This is Teo jumping on and around Endo in our little space we call home.

To add to how busy we were, Lianna finally decided that, while her job at Integrated Health was fun and needed, she no longer felt appreciated and was tired of them treating her like less than a competent, skilled, independent contractor.  So she quit.  It was really a great job for her, but it was time to move on, especially since she also started a new job at a physical therapist's office, who loves her and offered her more hours.  She is also getting more individual work and chair massage opportunities.  So far, its turned out to be quite a lucrative move for her to quit.  That and now she has more than two (2) days off a month, which she and both love.

To throw an additional variable into our crazy life, Lianna's father got remarried (and sealed) to a beautiful woman, Mary, from Peru.  Lianna was able to make it out there, but with school and night shift clinicals, I wasn't able to.  =(  I really missed my family-in-law, but I was just way too stressed and busy to deal with flying standby to CA.  Lianna had a great time with her family and enjoyed a spanish session and a spanish sealing.  She only took a few pictures since Peter, her brother, took many more.  Mary speaks only Spanish, so we've been working on our Spanish with her via visits and skype.

For Thanksgiving Peter and Laila came to visit her family here in CO.  So we got to hang out with them a bit and meet Laila's family and horses.  It was fun to go horseback riding.  I told their family that in a past life I was a cowboy.  I have no idea why they were laughing...  Lianna also told me that she wouldn't mind living in a house like that... i.e. not in the city or suburbs.  You know, where you aren't living right next to your neighbors.  So, thank you Laila and family, for helping my wife see the light.

Ain't my wife so adorable?

Here is Peter and Laila, what loveburds!

This is Quinn.  He was such a good horse.

Here is Lianna learning how to ride Tangey without a saddle.

They also had goats!  and sheep, and chickens, and geese, and dogs, and ducks, and cats, and a bird that bit Lianna.

Lastly, here is the set sun from their house.

As you can see, we had a busy, lovely November and are looking forward to the holidays.  Stay tuned for more ( and less long, but still wisdom and knowledge filled) blog posts.

Fun times! :D Would've been EPIC if we were there. Ha ha haa! Miss you guys! If we get to go to law school on the East coast, then we will have to stop by your place for a night. I like your pumpkin... ours we drew on with permanent marker. It's cute and little for the Jae-man. He colored on the opposite place the face was. Wow, this is long! Ok bye!
